that's like ME! Don't hate me if this isn't your idea of fast and furious but it's MY recipe and I like it and that's all that matters.
First! grab 2 hand fulls of rigatoni noodles and set em aside. In a bowl dummy not on the counter...
Start 2 quarts of water to boiling temp and then gather gather gather! (depending on the pot you are using you may need more or less...)
Second get yer stuff out. You will need..
1 small can of tuna
2 tbl spoons of ranch dressing (any sort you want)
2 tbl spoons of southwest mustard
1 tbl spoon mayo
2 chunks of sun dried tomatoes (diced, sliced or as they are)
2 cloves of garlic (crushed on the flat of the knife for best results)
Hot sauce of your taste
olive oil
a few dabs of butter if you like
Now..get everything set, mix the dressing, mustard, mayo in a bowl.
Toss the noodles in the water if it's boiling. If not then we wait.
and wait
and wait
and..Oh its ready? TOSS! (the noodles in the water!)
When it's done the noodles will be firm but soft. I use a fork and fish out a test subject. Use the tried and true scientific method of blowing on the test noodle till cool enough to eat. Then..eat. Is it ready? Yes? GREAT!!
Dump the noodle into a strainer (over the sink preferably!) but do not rinse.
Place noodles in the pot you used before, dump the garlic, tuna and tomatoes into it with a dab of olive oil.
Here is the important part!
If you used a whole clove and crushed it then you are ok for this. if not then skip down (dummy) to the last step. If you DID use whole garlic then do THIS instead of the last step:
Put the whole mess (minus the garlic and/or tomatoes) onto a plate. Put the garlic and or tomatoes BACK into the pot, drop a pat or two of butter with a smidgen of olive oil. Let it get hot then back off the heat by a third. Saute the mix, add a bit of salt to taste and maybe some other seasonings. When the garlic is browned it is done and you can dribble the whole thing over the noodles or place on the side! Add the hot sauce as desired.
or
Once the whole mess is in the pot and heating up stir, stir stir! , dump the rest onto the plate, cover with the sauce you made and ENJOY! Add the hot sauce as desired.
I liked it. You may not. Once you do it you will know how to do it again and again. If you think you can tweek it PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post your tweeks here or email them to me and Ill add them and put your name up on the list as a contributor. You will win a brand new shinny phone call telling you that your tweak sucks or was the best thing since they Sunday after Saturday!
So feel free to tell me about you experience. Tell me what you think. If I think you are full of crap Ill tell you and then ask you to try again. :)
