By that I mean..
Who wants to stop paying money to the electric company?
And depending on who is producing your power..
The oil producers, natural gas producers, coal producers?
Even nuclear and hydro-electric producers?
I know I do.
How about solar? Where are the solar power plants?
Does any one else know how these current power generating stations create their electricity? Yeah yeah they use fuels. They burn these fuels to make steam to turn blades that turn generators that in turn create electricity. Nuclear is the same only in the fact that it uses radiation to create heat to boil the water.
But the sun is there..it doesn't get used up. It doesn't create pollution to convert it to power.
Granted it doesnt shine on the same place in the same strength 24/7 but holy cow! There are these really cool things we have. They are called BATTERIES! W00t!
Ok so I know that there may never be solar power plants that can make enough to supply a whole town but each home can surely have their own!
Maybe not EVERY where but man can you imagine what it would do to have every home in the high sunshine states using solar?
Ok here is my idea..
You can make yer own! It may cost a bit to get started and you may need to learn some hands on skills or have someone you know do it with/for you.

I have the panels but i still need to get the converter, batteries and controler. I am on my way to electric company release!
