Now that I have your attention.
have you noticed that there are so many things, products and services, that are labeled with the word Premium?
Now I will grant that there ARE things that ARE premium. Candy with premium processed chocolate, Premium services that are premium. Like valet parking. Free massage with all hair cuts.
Now I have seen so many cheap, generic products that either work or they don't from design to land fill. They have premium all over the package. Then on the next peg to it there is a real premium product. Gold plated contacts (gold is THE best electrical transmission metal) and it has some of the best alloys and minerals in the making of it and NOT marked premium because the name alone suggests it. The "premium" product marked all over with the word is made of the cheapest metals, the cheapest components.
Same with options. Premium options. The dictionary states:

1pre·mi·umnoun \ˈprē-mē-əm\
Definition of PREMIUM
1
a : a reward or recompense for a particular act b : a sum over and above a regular price paid chiefly as an inducement or incentive c : a sum in advance of or in addition to the nominal value of something
2
: the consideration paid for a contract of insurance
3
: a high value or a value in excess of that normally or usually expected
So what does this say to you? Does a cheap low quality product or service deserve the word PREMIUM on it when it has no value or the service is not any where near above or beyond the usual service offered by any 10 businesses?
Well I think that truth in advertising should be enforced.
Yes a lot of American companies over use the word but I have noticed that ALL overseas producers that sell their products in the USA.
have you noticed that? Other than the top companies have you noticed them doing that?
