The people have the power

Not the bankers. Not wall street. Not the big oil companies.

And we can use it to make a change happen across the country.

But we wont.  As a people we are lazy. Concerned more about convenience and ease of access that we wont take the steps to get our world to shape into something more affordable or safe or even just for it to be fair.

As a nation we are too interested in the cheapest thing. Not where it came from or where our money is going afterwords.

Did you know that even though China is one of our biggest threats and competitors for military, space, oil and market share of most anything...  WE are one of their biggest funders?  yes, we are.
We but the products shipped from China all the time. Our money goes to their country.  It feeds their oppressive communist government.  You know, the one OURS is heading towards.
Internet businesses from outside of China have to conform to their censorship.  Google moved it's search engine to Hong Kong so they can have easier access to their systems to censor things that the Chinese government call "dangerous" information or "false" information.  In other words anything that someone searches for in China that could challenge the status quo is considered dangerous.  Even news items.  They don't want you to have information in that country that they don't feed you.

Any how.

Now if we, the people, were to fight back against the 1%'ers.
Now be honest. Seriously. You wouldn't hate against someone that is rich.  You are actually upset about HOW they got rich, HOW they are treating the people that got them rich right?
Good.
I don't despise anyone that has gotten to the proverbial ivory tower...just don't piss on me on the way up there if I am the one you needed help from to get there.

First:
The bankers, them dirty stinking bankers.  They need your money in their banks to make them rich through various means.  Fees, investing your money, etc.
What if they started not having your money any more.  What if enough people decided enough is enough and started pulling their money out. Enough people kept their cash out of their accounts long enough for them to take notice.
They would not like it.  may not kill them but would get their attention and that is what we want right?

Wall street.  They need people to buy stuff. Gas, Food. Houses and land. What if enough people decided that enough is enough and started to NOT buy stuff. Decided that no more of anything but a bus ride and a short grocery list.  And if you have to buy something do not buy it if it says Made in China.  That's a whole new message altogether.

So now we have mentioned banker. wall street.  How about big oil?
They can bring gas to $2.00 a gal and still make mad profits.  They export millions of gallons overseas purely for the profit.  They buy it with our money, refine it, send a huge chunk some where else and then charge us a high price for what we buy, all the while claiming supply and demand is what makes the price so high.  Wait...  what? So, you ship out a lot to other countries, then say there is a low supply in the USA so you charge us more?
huh...

But wait!  There's more!

$460 billion

That's what (about) the top 5 fuel companies were making last year. Each.

Kinda important to also understand. The execs say they don't get paid very much.  But that doesn't count their bonuses, corporate benefits and stock options...usually totaling in the hundreds of millions a year.  And the "set for life" retirement packages.

Now if we started taking buses, walking, doing every conceivable thing to not buy fuel any more for as long as we can do you know that it would send  a shock wave up the channels?
Yup.
Now I know they would just jack up the prices even more to compensate which in turn would drive up bus tickets etc.  But eventually people would not be able to afford anything that used fuel.
And then what.

I am all about keeping things fair.  Keeping them where MOST people can access them.  I am also for making it so that the unfortunate can have some kind of access to what everyone else has.

But when the 1% are beating us to death with their money and then turning their back on the people that make them billionaires it really pisses me off.

If we weren't so damn lazy we could really take back our country, our government and our lives.  But since we are so lazy....

We are screwed
What are you doing to try and make a difference?
