So I have expanded my bedroom furniture collection by one.
That means I have a home made computer desk, a living room coffee table for an entertainment center w/ TV, a printer cart for my fish aquarium, a mini fridge, a tuperware pod with drawers and bed and NOW....after years and year of not owning one I have a base for my bed.
Yes, it is a soho 2 drawer bed base, black.
You think it's fancy? maybe for someone like me!
Sleeping on a tempurpedic bed, on the floor has always been comfy for me. Enough for me.
Why did I get one you ask?
The answer is simple and complicated really.
A: I wanted the elevation for laying in bed to watch TV (too low and the TV screen gets dark and UN-viewable)
B: The need to be off the floor especially in the winter.
C: Having the sudden and overwhelming urge to have a full bed system.
Now I had been thinking of building my own with drawers and such but at the current employment status it would have been too expensive.
Getting the bed base I have now I saved well over $100 but the old theory of "Get what you pay for" still stands true.
It is flimsy.
So once I get back to working in my normal field I will get the materials for the bed I want to make and then when time permits I will make it.
Of course I will do my best to photo document each phase of construction.
I already have a design I have been working on. Simple and not beautiful as I don't really care for appearance, but functionality.
I may stain and finish it but that's an after the fact kinda deal!
